Installation Instructions
Overview
You may use the HWI-PHAST Interface to connect
your HomeWorks Interactive
PHAST system through any PHASTLink
®
HWI-PHAST Interface will connect to the HomeWorks
Interactive System through the RS-232 port on any

PHAST has a generic 17 button keypad that allows
you to get all of the various button combinations that
are available on all Lutron keypads.
Double clicking on the keypad in the Landmark Design
Screen allows you to edit the keypad properties. The
"configuration" tab is where the buttons are added/
removed. A pull-down menu labeled "Visible Buttons"
allows you to select the Lutron keypad model number
for the keypad. On that same tab, the HomeWorks
Interactive processor address, link number, and

keypad addresses are set. Clicking on the "Program"
button allows you to program any Landmark system
event to occur from a button press on a Lutron keypad
(i.e. a HWI-KP5 can be programmed to turn audio on/
off, change HVAC modes, etc.). Activating Lutron
events from a Landmark keypad is done by selecting
the Landmark keypad from the left-hand column in the
programming screen and then assigning a Lutron
button action in the right half of the screen.
