Note: The size of the holes on both sides of the sealing post are different, so pay attention to the direction when installing. a) Use a micropipette puller (RWD MP-500 micropipette puller is recommended) to draw micropipette. b) Backfill the pulled micropipette with mineral oil (R480-MO) using a filler needle. For some operation experiments, it is also possible to directly fill the micropipette with injection liquid or directly withdraw the injection liquid without filling mineral oil.

2) When used with the injection unit, use the injection unit connection cable to connect the fixed injection unit (see Figure 4-15) to the injection port on the control box corresponding to the manipulator connection; finally, connect the control box (see Figure 4-16) to the computer via the square port connection cable, and then start the computer software in order to operate the computer/micro-operation controller via manipulator and injection unit.
5 - Operation Instructions 5.1 Software Function Introduction This is the PC-based operating software used with the automated stereotaxic instrument. The software integrates the brain atlas and motion control program as well as the syringe pump control program, which allows the user to achieve the motor motion for the AP/ML/DV-axis of the stereotaxic instrument and to control the syringe pump on the software interface.
5.3 Left and Right Manipulator Switching Region It is used to switch between the left and right manipulator operation interfaces, as shown below. Note: When the left/right manipulator control box is not connected, you cannot switch to the operation interface of that manipulator. Figure 5-2 5.4 Origin Setting Region Figure 5-3...

Note: Manipulator and atlas coordinates cannot be set at the same time! The coordinates cannot exceed the range of motor travel! *Entry point: at the position above the target coordinate along the DV-axis higher than the retraction distance of the skull surface (see the figure below). 5.8.1.1 Atlas Selection Click to select rat/mouse brain atlas. The brain atlas version is the second edition for mice, the fifth edition for mice and the sixth edition for rats. After selecting the version, click [OK] on the software interface, [Atlas Display Region] will display the corresponding version of the brain atlas.

Frame Calibration Function If there is a deviation between the AP/ML/DV value displayed in the [coordinate displacement region] of the manipulator on the software interface and the actual reading of AP/ML/DV on the manipulator of the stereotaxic instrument (e.g., offset after long-term use), you can calibrate the AP/ML/DV Coordinate Calibration value and probe position displayed on the software interface here.
Page 24
Button Function After clicking, the probe will automatically move to the coordinate position of the currently selected coordinate according to the speed set by the system, the button will become the stop button “ ”, and other interface operations will be disabled during the movement until the movement is automatically completed or the stop button is clicked.

(such as the auditory cortex), it is necessary to tilt the skull of experimental animals to achieve stereotaxic injection in the target atlas. It can be used with RWD's rat rotation adaptor (68063), mouse rotation adaptor (68065), or rotation stereotaxic instrument.
Page 26
5.8.1.6 Atlas Calibration Figure 5-14 [Atlas Calibration] is a process of determing the coordinates of Bregma, Lambda, center point left site, and center point right site, and aligning the animal’s skull size and tilt angle in relation to the coronal, sagittal, and horizontal planes to the brain atlas. You can level the skull according to the atlas angles in relation to the coronal, sagittal, and horizontal planes.
