Raise the vehicle and support it in a way, using jack stands or equivalent, so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame .

Install the universal nuts (P) into the frame rail, lining up the holes in the frame and the threads in the nuts so that a bolt can be installed (Fig . D .4) . TECH TIP: a fat-tip screwdriver works well in prying the universal nut into position .
