NOTES FOR USING THE WATCH

HOW TO CHARGE AND START THE WATCH
● To charge the capacitor efficiently, swing the watch from side to side, making an arc of about 20 cm.
● No additional benefit is obtained by swinging the watch more quickly or with greater vigor.
● When the watch is swung, the oscillating weight in the generating system rotates to drive the
mechanism. As it rotates, it gives out a sound, which is not a malfunction.
● The watch is equipped with a system to prevent overcharge. Even if it is further swung after being
fully charged, no malfunction will result.
● Provided with an instant-start function, the watch may start operating after it is swung several times.
For details, see "INSTANT-START FUNCTION" on page 14.
● We recommend that you wear the watch daily for at least 10 hours.
● Even if the watch is worn on your arm, it will not be charged while your arm is not in motion.

HINWEISE ZUR VERWENDUNG DER UHR

AUFLADEN UND INGANGSETZEN DER UHR
● Zum wirksamen Aufladen des Kondensators sollte die Uhr in einem Bogen von etwa 20 cm hin- und
herbewegt werden.
● Es wird kein zusätzlicher Nutzen erzielt, wenn die Uhr schneller oder mit mehr Kraftaufwand hin- und
herbewegt wird.
● Wenn die Uhr hin- und herbewegt wird, dreht sich das Oszillationsgewicht im Generierungssystem und
treibt den Mechanismus an. Durch diese Drehbewegung wird ein Ton erzeugt, der keine Fehlfunktion
darstellt.
● Die Uhr verfügt über eine Funktion, die eine Überladung verhindert. Auch wenn sie nach vollständiger
Aufladung weiter hin- und herbewegt wird, treten keine Fehlfunktionen auf.

POWER RESERVE INDICATOR
● The power reserve indicator provides only a general guideline of the duration within which the watch
keeps operating without needing to be charged.
● To allow easy reading of the second hand, press the button when the second hand is at the 12 o'clock
position.
● You can immediately press the button again to recheck the power reserve one more time. To do
so a third time, however, wait until the second hand resumes normal movement before pressing
the button again.
● When the second hand moves at two-second intervals, the power reserve is very low and the
indicator does not function.
● Immediately after the watch is swung to charge the capacitor, the second hand may not properly
indicate the power reserve. Please check after putting the watch on your wrist.

● Die Uhr ist mit einer Schnellstartfunktion ausgestattet und läuft daher, nachdem sie einige Male hin- und
herbewegt wurde. Für Einzelheiten siehe "SCHNELLSTARTFUNKTION" auf Seite 14.
● Wir empfehlen, die Uhr täglich für mindestens 10 Stunden zu tragen.
● Auch wenn die Uhr getragen wird, wird sie nicht aufgeladen, wenn der Arm nicht bewegt wird.
LEISTUNGSRESERVE-ANZEIGE
● Die Leistungsreserve-Anzeige gibt eine allgemeine Auskunft über die Zeitdauer, für die die Uhr ohne
Aufladen läuft.
● Um ein einfaches Ablesen des Sekundenzeigers zu ermöglichen, sollte die Taste gedrückt werden, wenn
der Sekundenzeiger sich an der 12-Uhr-Position befindet.
● Die Taste kann sofort erneut gedrückt werden, um die Leistungsreserve noch einmal zu überprüfen. Vor
einer dritten Betätigung der Taste muß jedoch gewartet werden, bis der Sekundenzeiger wieder seine
