The internal power enables the computer to be remotely turned on (Wake-on-LAN) and suspended into a sleep mode and has other advanced power management features.

NOTE: Upon loosening the captive screws, the base cover opens up creating a gap between the base cover and the palm-rest assembly at the hinges.
