Cooling system

This charger is equipped with cooling fan for heated
charger to improve charging performance. Sound of air
comes out during cooling, which means no trouble on
the charger.
The charger lamp blinks in red to warn of abnormal
charger temperatures in the following cases.
Trouble on cooling fan
Incomplete cool down of the charger, such as,
being clogged with dust
The battery can be charged even if the charger lamp
blinks red. But the charging time will be longer than
usual in this case. Check the sound of the cooling fan
and the vent on the charger. The vent may be clogged
with dust or blocked by obstacles.
Always keep clean the vent on charger for cooling.

NOTE: Place the charger in the location where the
vents are not blocked by obstacles.
NOTE: If the charger lamp is not blinking in red, the
cooling system is working normally even if there is no
sound from the cooling fan.
NOTE: If the charger lamp is blinking in red even
though the charger vents are clean, have the appli-
ance serviced to your local Makita Service Center.
Padlock hole
The appliance has a padlock hole. Locking the appli-
ance with a commercial padlock helps prevent theft.

Installing MAKPAC
Optional accessory
CAUTION:
Make sure that the appliance
is securely attached to the MAKPAC with four
mounting latches. Otherwise falling accident may
occur and cause personal injury.
CAUTION:
Put your finger firmly on the
mounting latch when unlocking the mounting
latch. Otherwise your finger may slip off the mounting
latch unexpectedly and cause injury.
The appliance can be attached to the top or bottom of
MAKPAC as shown in the figure.

CAUTION:
Make sure that the appliance is
securely attached on the MAKPAC cart. The appli-
ance may come off MAKPAC cart and falling accident
may occur.
CAUTION:
If there are steps, move the
MAKPAC cart carefully and quietly. Otherwise,
falling accident may cause damage or injury.
CAUTION:
Do not load more than 100 kg on
the MAKPAC cart. Otherwise, accident or damage
may occur.
The appliance can be easily carried when the appliance
is attached to the MAKPAC cart.
When using MAKPAC cart, attach the appliance to
MAKPAC cart as shown in the figures.

NOTICE:
Lock the stopper when not moving
MAKPAC cart.

CAUTION:
When carrying the appliance
attached to the MAKPAC by the MAKPAC cart,
place the appliance on the bottom. Otherwise, the
balance become unstable and cause an accident.

CAUTION:
Be careful when moving over
steps and move quietly. Otherwise, it may cause
damage or injury due to falling.
CAUTION:
Do not stand on the top of the
appliance and place any items other than the
MAKPAC. Otherwise, it may cause fall, accident, or
damage.
The appliance can be easily carried when the appliance
is attached to the MAKPAC trolley.
Attach the appliance correctly to the MAKPAC trolley as
shown in the figures.
Read the instruction manual supplied with the MAKPAC
trolley to make sure that how to attach the appliance to
the MAKPAC trolley.
CAUTION:
When installing the appliance on
the MAKPAC trolley, install the appliance with the
Makita logo facing away from the MAKPAC trolley
tires as shown in the figure. Otherwise, the balance
become unstable and cause an accident.
