Periodic inspections must be conducted by the customer. However, upon request, Yaskawa or one of Yaskawa's Service Centers can inspect the product for a fee. In this case, if after conferring with the customer, a Yaskawa product is found to be defective due to Yaskawa workmanship or materials and the defect occurs during the warranty period, then this fee will be waived and the problem remedied free of charge.

4 Installation and Wiring Installation and Wiring WARNING • Before installing or removing the Option Card, or performing wiring operations, always turn OFF the power to the Inverter and wait until the specified period of time has elapsed after all the Inverter indicators have turned OFF.

4 Installation and Wiring Connecting the Inverter, Option Card, and Peripherals Fig. 2 shows the connections between the Inverter, the DI-08, and peripheral devices. Due to a change in external terminal placement, some external terminal names were changed. TC was IMPORTANT changed to TB1.
Wiring Precautions • Control signal wires for the DI-08, terminal TB1-1 to TB1-11 must be separated from the main circuit wire, power lines, and electric power lines. • For the control signal wires, use shielded wires and manage their ends as shown in Fig. 3 to prevent any malfunction due to noise.
5 Precautions when Using Input Signals Precautions when Using Input Signals The input circuit of the DI-08 can receive the output from a relay contact and transistor (open collector). Take the following precautions. • If using relay contacts as digital reference signals, use high-integrity relay contacts with a weak current of 100 mA or more and a capacity of 30 VDC.
