6.3 Safety features
Key lock/child lock
Keep the button pressed to activate the key lock, the button lights up and on the display appears LC. To
deactivate press and hold on the button
Detection of unsuitable cookware
If the induction unit cannot detect any appropriate cookware, it will switch off automatically.
Double overheating protection
If the cookware overheats e.g., when it is heated while empty, or if the appliance overheats due to insufficient
air circulation, the appliance switches off automatically.
7 Cleaning
Danger!
Pull the mains plug out of the socket before each cleaning.
Danger!
Never immerse the appliance, the mains plug or the power cord in water or other liquids and never
spray water directly onto them. Do not clean it in the dishwasher. Do not use a steam cleaner to clean
the appliance.
Risk of burns or injury!
Let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning it.
- Clean the appliance immediately after every use.
- Remove the grill plate from the appliance for cleaning. Clean it with hot water, a little detergent and a firm
sponge only. In case of stubborn residues let the grill plate soak. Avoid using abrasive cleansers or sponges.
Do not clean it in the dishwasher to protect the non-stick coating.
- Wipe the glass ceramic surface as well as the housing with soft cloth only, slightly moistened if needed.
Afterwards, dry these parts off thoroughly. In the case of stubborn residues, use a commercially available
cleaning agent for glass ceramic surfaces and a suitable cleaning scraper. Follow the instructions for use of
them. After cleaning, rub the glass ceramic plate completely dry.
- Do not use abrasive objects or abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents to clean the appliance or its components.
- Clean the ventilation slots regularly with a soft cleaning brush.
- Ensure that the appliance is completely dry before using it again or putting it away.
