B) ADJUSTING THE FORK LENGTH AND ASSEMBLING THE STEM
TIME Fluidity modules and frames are fitted with a patented headset system: QUICKSET
The QUICKSET concept involves separating the headset adjustment from the stem adjustment while
preserving the benefits of the Aheadset system. The cyclist can adjust their position without any headset
adjustment constraint. This solution eliminates the use of complex compression systems.
The QUICKSET headset is factory-set, therefore preliminary disassembly is not necessary
1) Installing the handlebar on the stem
-
Install the 31.8 handlebar. Assemble the stem head with the screws and evenly torque to 6 Nm.
Important: A handlebar with a diameter below 31.7 or above 31.9 may cause risks during use
2) Stem trial assembly
-
Carry out preliminary trial assembly of the stem to determine the height (fig.5)
-
For optimum adjustment, a set of 3 spacers (5, 10 and 15 mm) is delivered with the module. These
spacers include an o-ring which eliminates vibrations!
-
Test the stem height adjustment
Figure 5
-
For safety purposes, do not use any spacers other than those supplied
3) Cutting the steerer tube to length
-
Remove the stem (leaving the spacers if there are any)
-
The steerer tube must be cut to length using a suitable tool.
TIME offers a tool for this purpose (P/N: 55006322)
-
Clamp the tool, resting it against the headset cup or spacers
