Charging Instructions
・The Lion battery is not charged in the factory. Please charge the battery before initial use. Please charge the
battery between 5-40℃.
・After purchase or long-term (above 2 months) storage, if the battery cannot reach saturation on the first
charge, please repetitional charging and discharge the battery 2 or 3 times. The battery would get the maximum
capacity.
・Please turn off the power when you charge the radio with the battery. Do not operate the radio in charging, or it
will affect the normal charging and liable to become dangerous.
・Please remove the radio/battery from the charging base (Or remove the USB charger) when the battery is fully
charged. Overcharging will shorten the lift of the battery.
・Please replace or order a new battery when the battery does not last as long as expected at adequately
charging.
GETTING ACQUAINTED
Basic Operation
1. Power on/off
Turn on the radio when you rotate the Power knob clockwise until you hear a 'click.' Turn off the radio when you
are counterclockwise to a 'click' sound.
2. Adjusting the Volume
Rotate the [Volume] knob to adjust the volume in the power-on state.
3. Selecting a Channel
Short press the [UP] and [DOWN] buttons to switch the channel in the power-on state.
4. Transmitting & Receiving
4.1 Press the [PTT] button to transmit, and the indicator flashes red. And keep your microphone 3-8cm away
from your mouth and in your normal speaking voice for the best sound quality at the receiving station.
4.2 When the radio is received, the indicator is green, and the sound comes out of the loudspeaker.
Function introduction
1. Squelch
The squelch function can eliminate the background noise in receiving.
Set up the squelch level from 0-9 in the programming software.
Note: Level 0 quelch is the lowest level to eliminate the noise, and level 9 is the highest level on it.
2. Monitor
In the power-on state, long-press the [UP] button can enter the monitor mode while rotating the power on/Volume
knob to adjust the volume. Release the [UP] button to return.
3. Scan
The scan function can search the calls on the other channels.
3.1 Set up the scan function on the 'Side Key' in the programming software.
3.2 Add the channel to the scan list in the programming software.
