The kit is bus-powered. VBUS supply from the host PC can be disconnected from the kit by removing the jumper from connector J1 pin 1-2. The board consists of two IR3883MTRPBF regulators from Infineon Technologies. It is a DC-DC buck switching regulator rated for 3 A. With a 16PQFN package, the regulator features overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, and overtemperature protection.
