OVERVIEW This series is rated IP67 and installation by Wall mounting. Each unit of this industrial M12 unmanaged Ethernet switch series has 8*10/100BASE-TX Fast Ethernet M12 Ports, which the M12 interface provides auto detection of MDI or MDI-X. In order to prevent unregulated voltage, this series provides high EFT and ESD protection. This also allows it to function in harsh environments, as well as support power redundancy with a dual power input design with reverse polarity protection.
HARDWARE DESCRIPTION Physical Dimensions Figure 2.1, below, shows the physical dimensions of ET2-0800-M12-67 series. (W x H x D) is 66mm x 152mm x 27.5mm Figure 2.1: Physical Dimensions...
Front Panel The front panel of the ET2-0800-M12-67 series industrial unmanaged Ethernet Switch is shown below in Figure 2.2. Power Inputs Port (M12 5-Pin A-Coded Male connector) Screw Holes for Wall Mounting Grounding Screw Power LED 10/100Mbps Link/Act LED 10/100BASE-TX Ethernet Port...
LED Indicators There are LED light indicators located on the front panel of the industrial Ethernet switch that display the power status and network status. Each LED indicator has a different color and has its own specific meaning, see below in Table 2.1. Color Description Power input 1 or 2 is active...
Ethernet Ports M12 Interface (Auto MDI/MDIX) Connection Format: M12 4-Pin D-Coded Female Connector • Transmission Rate: 10 Mbit/s or 100 Mbit/s • Prepare the M12 4-Pin D-Coded Ethernet Port mating cable for Ethernet connection. The M12 D- Coded Ethernet ports are auto-sensing for 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX devices connections. Auto MDI/MDIX means that you can connect to another switch or workstation without changing straight through or crossover cabling.
Wiring the Power Inputs This industrial Ethernet switch provides dual DC power inputs for redundancy through a M12 5-Pin A- Coded male connector. Prepare the M12 5-Pin A-Coded cable for power connection. Table 2.3 shows the pin assignment. M12 5-Pin A-Coded Male Power Connector Illustration Pinouts Function...
MOUNTING INSTALLATION Wall Mounting Follow the steps below to mount the industrial Ethernet switch to a wall using the screw holes as shown below in Figure 3.1. Step 1. Prepare 2 screws for mounting the switch to a wall. Note: Recommended use the M4 or M5 screws. Step 2.
DIN-Rail Mounting Follow the steps below to learn how to install the DIN-Rail on the industrial Ethernet switch and how to hang the switch. Step 1. Use the screws to install the DIN-Rail bracket on the rear side of the industrial Ethernet switch as shown in Figure 3.2.
