  • Page 4 Follow all local plumbing and building codes. Turn OFF the water supplies. For new installations, install the faucet and drain to the sink before installing the sink. For installation with a mixing valve, two 3/8" compression supply hoses are required. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.
  • Page 5: Install The Mounting Bracket

    IMPORTANT! Your faucet model may have different framing requirements other than those shown. Refer to the Specification Sheet for your faucet model. Construct the framing for your installation. Secure the mounting bracket to the framing using four wood screws. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.
  • Page 6 Connect a straight tube to the mounting bracket. Verify that the tube is long enough to reach the control box. Connect a 90-degree elbow to the end of the tube at the control box installation location. Install the plaster guard with the screw. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.
  • Page 7 Remove the plaster guard. Guide the sensor cables and tube from the spout through the mounting bracket and down to the hole for the control box. Take care to avoid kinking or damaging the cables and tube. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.
  • Page 8 Tighten the screws to secure the spout to the mounting bracket. Remove the setscrew from the wall plate. Slide the wall plate over the spout until flush with the wall. Take care not to damage the finish. Secure the wall plate with the setscrew. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.

    Use the standard wall anchors (provided) depending on your wall material. Attach the control box to the wall with the arrow pointing upward. Secure with the two screws (provided). Unthread the control box screws to remove the cover. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.
  • Page 10 Connect the 2-pin sensor cable from the valve cover to the 2-pin sensor cable from the spout (orange and black cables). Guide the sensor cables through the slots in the control box. Loosely secure the cover to the control box for future access. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.
  • Page 11 Verify that the tube from the spout is the appropriate length to reach the control box. Cut the tube if necessary. Remove any burrs and sharp edges. Insert the tube into the fitting (control box outlet end) until the tube stops. Verify that the tube is secure. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.
  • Page 12 Use a 3/8" compression connection (not provided) to attach the hot supply to the hot inlet on the mixing valve (marked hot on the adjustment plate).   • Page 13 Unthread the control box screws to remove the control box cover. Connect the power cords. Plug the AC supply into the wall outlet. Secure any excess wire under the deck. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.

    Tighten the nut on the strain relief. Secure the terminal box cover to the terminal box. Turn ON the AC supply power. Secure any excess wire under the deck. Allow 2 minutes for the sensor to cycle through the automatic sensing distance. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.

    Uncover the sensors on the faucet or turn ON the water supplies. Activate the faucet and check all connections for leaks. Make adjustments as needed. Run water through the spout for 1 minute. Check for leaks and make adjustments as needed. 1561536-2-A Kohler Co.
