4.0 COMPONENT CHECKLIST When unpacking the product please note the loose components are in the top packaging compartments 5.0 SITE REQUIREMENTS It should be noted that the appliance creates warm convected air currents. 9.0 INSTALLATION OVERVIEW British Fires assumes absolutely no responsibility for injuries and damages that may occur due to improper installation or handling. Remove any protective film coatings from the finished/decorative surfaces of the appliance, if any. After having selected the final position of the appliance taking into account the integrity of the wall the electric appliance may be secured to the wall. - Page 8 Blocking off the flue When an LED inset is installed into an open chimney, that has been blocked off, British Fires recommends that a LED inset cavity box used in these types of installations. 9.1 INSTALLATION – EXISTING OPENING Testing the flue is blocked off correctly MUST When the LED Inset is intended to be installed into an open chimney the flue blocked off. FITTING THE DECORATIVE FRAME AND FRONT The appliance may be supplied with a decorative frame in a variety of finishes. IMPORTANT: Due to the possibility of sharp edges, care should be taken when handing the frame components. The use of protective gloves is recommended. The appliance is supplied with a one piece decorative frame that is either attached to the front of the firebox with the magnets provided, or by using the key hole slots, hook all 4 points on the rear of the frame onto the key hole slots on the front of the fire, illustrated below. -
