PlayNow™ service
You can use the PlayNow™ service to download applications, games and music. The
PlayNow™ service offers both free and non-free downloads. You can download items from
your phone, or from your computer.
The PlayNow™ service is not available in all countries.

Before using PlayNow™

Before you start using the PlayNow™ application, check that:
• You have a memory card in your device.
• You have a phone subscription that supports Wi-Fi or 2G/3G data transmission.
The PlayNow™ service is not available in all countries or on all networks. You may have to register
as an Internet user with your service provider or network operator.
If your country of residence does not support the PlayNow™ service, your operator may
provide an alternative service, or services. If there is no alternative service, automatically
generated playlists appear in the lower part of the music home screen in Sony Ericsson
Mediascape.
You can check with your network operator for alternative service, or services. For more
information on PlayNow™, go to www.sonyericsson.com/support.

Using PlayNow™

You can listen to the latest and most popular music from the PlayNow™ application. You
can also download tracks of your favourite artists.
You can also listen to music from PlayNow™ using Sony Ericsson Mediascape. When you
open the music home screen in Sony Ericsson Mediascape, you can view the latest music
content from PlayNow™ on the lower part of the screen.
To start PlayNow™ from the Home screen
From the Home screen, tap the applications bar and tap PlayNow™.

To start PlayNow™ from Mediascape
1 From the Home screen, tap Mediascape.
2 If the music home screen is not shown, tap Music
3 In the middle right part of the screen, tap More. You can directly access PlayNow™
or alternative service provided by your operator, where you can browse for music.
To search for music in PlayNow™
• From the PlayNow™ screen, press
and albums.
To purchase music from PlayNow™
Tap any album art to view the details. To listen to a track, tap the thumbnail view of

the track.
2 Tap the artist name to see the albums of the same artist.
3 To purchase the track, tap the buy option.
4 You will receive a text message about the payment charges.
5 The music you buy will be stored on the memory card and available to you as local
audio content in Sony Ericsson Mediascape.
You can also purchase music from Sony Ericsson Mediascape by tapping the album art in
thumbnail view in the lower part of the music home screen.
