b. Display the state of the nodeclass associated with the IBM Storage Scale System.

c. If canister 1 (top) is currently designated as a quorum node, move the quorum to a different node.
i) To determine which nodes are quorum nodes, issue the following command:
# mmlscluster
ii) To evaluate quorum status, issue the following command:
# mmgetstate -s
iii) If necessary, to designate a different node to be a quorum node, issue the following command:
# mmchnode –quorum -N <node name>
iv) If necessary, to remove a quorum node from canister 1 (top), issue the following command:
# mmchnode –noquorum -N <node name>
2. Customer task: Unmount file systems that are mounted on canister 1 (top).
Unmount GPFS file systems from canister 1 (top).
# mmumount <file system name> -N <node name>

3. Customer task: Shut down GPFS only in canister 1 (top).
# mmshutdown -N <node name>

4. SSR task: Remove canister 1 (top) from the enclosure.
Record the high speed and management network cabling to canister 1 (top). After adapter MES is
done, the network cabling needs to be done as recorded here.
Disconnect high speed and management network cables from canister 1 (top) ONLY and remove the
canister from the slot of the enclosure.
Note: Do not unplug the power cable from any of the PSUs.
5. SSR task: Install the hardware. Add the required adapters to the appropriate slots in canister 1 (top).
Remove top cover of canister 1 (top) and install one or more adapter pairs to the remaining available
slots. Please follow the placement priority carefully in the Prerequisites section above based on the
types of adapter pairs to be installed in this MES.
6. SSR task: Insert canister 1 (top) into the enclosure again and do basic checks.
