The pack- aging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable. Safety instructions RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Connect the hairdryer only to a correctly installed mains power ► socket providing electrical current at the level detailed on the rating plate. Under no circumstances may the hairdryer be submerged in ► liquids, or liquids be permitted to enter the appliance housing. Do not expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors. - Page 8 RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Never use the appliance near water, and keep it away from sinks, baths and other similar containers. Water in the proximity of the appliance is hazardous, even if the appli- ance is switched off. Always disconnect the plug from the mains power socket after use.

Preparation 1) Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instructions from the carton. 2) Remove all packaging material. Operation This appliance is fitted with a contact sensor. This means that the hairdryer only switches on if you are holding it in your hand and touching the sensor field at the same time. -

NOTE ► The sensor-controlled cut-off is not suitable for switching off the hairdryer permanently. If you are not using the hairdryer switch it off using the blower level switch 5) Once you have finished using it, switch the appliance off by switching the blower level switch to "0". -

Sicherheitshinweise STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR Schließen Sie den Haartrockner nur an eine vorschriftsmäßig ► installierte Netzsteckdose mit einer der auf dem Typenschild entsprechenden Netzspannung an. Sie dürfen den Haartrockner keinesfalls in eine Flüssigkeit ► tauchen und keine Flüssigkeiten in das Gerätegehäuse des Haartrockners gelangen lassen. Sie dürfen das Gerät keiner Feuchtigkeit aussetzen und nicht im Freien benutzen. - Page 20 STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR Verwenden Sie das Gerät niemals in der Nähe von Wasser, insbesondere nicht in der Nähe von Waschbecken, Bade- wannen oder ähnlichen Gefäßen. Die Nähe von Wasser stellt eine Gefahr dar, auch wenn das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist. Ziehen Sie daher nach jedem Gebrauch den Netzstecker. Als zusätzlicher Schutz wird Ihnen die Installation einer Fehlerstrom- Schutzeinrichtung mit einem Bemessungsauslösestrom von nicht mehr als 30 mA im Badezimmer-Stromkreis empfohlen.
