GENERAL SAFETY RULES
Safety requires a combination of common sense, staying alert and knowing how your
hedge trimmer works.
KEEP THESE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING – Do not use this equipment before reading the manual for safety,
operating and maintenance instructions. Failure to comply with the following
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
WORK AREA SAFETY:
• Keep the work area clean and well lit. Disorganised and dark work areas make
accidents more likely.
• Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite dust
or fumes.
• Keep children and other people away. All visitors and pets must be kept at a safe
distance from the work area.
• Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools produce sparks that can ignite dust
or fumes.
• Do not allow children or untrained individuals to use this equipment
• Do not expose power tools to rain or moisture. Water entering a power tool
increases the risk of electric shock.
• Do not touch the battery, do not connect it to the mains and do not handle the tool
with wet hands.
• Never allow children to use the equipment. Never allow adults to operate the
equipment without proper instructions.
• Always wear safety glasses with side shields. Everyday glasses only have impact-
resistant lenses, they are NOT safety glasses. Following this rule will reduce the risk
of eye injuries. If there is a lot of dust, wear a face mask.
