These Release Notes provide information about SPA100 Series Analog Telephone Adapters firmware
version 1.3.5(XU).
IMPORTANT
As with any firmware release, read these release notes before upgrading the firmware. Cisco also recommends
backing up the configuration before any firmware upgrade.
Changes in Firmware Version 1.3.5(XU) from 1.3.2(XU)

Improvement in reboot time for SPA122, to increase in RC provisioning speed.
User is able to add configurable prefix to syslog. For example: $PN, $MA, etc.
Support SIP Notify event. When the parameter <Provisioning Enable> is set to "no", SPA can resync
to turn on provisioning remotely. Note: This feature applies only to RC unit.
Support logs over TLS.
Support SSL email.
Enhancement to include device MAC address in syslog messages.
Report low memory availability via syslog, and show memory usage on the web page.
Support firmware upgrade using HTTP 302 redirection.
Caller ID can be updated while creating a conference.
Support Call Hold reminder when the caller makes the second call while the first call is on hold.
Open Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) open source library used in the ATA is upgraded to 1.0.1g in order
to support TLS 1.2.

  • Page 3 1.3.5p(XU), 1.3.5(XU), 1.3.2(XU): SRTP functionality has been removed, and it cannot be configured or provisioned in firmware versions that are designated with XU in the filename.     SPA122-RC: To get the new configuration on RC, power cycle is needed after custom reset.     If the device is upgraded to 1.3.3 or later (no hardware related), the server could request a server certification signed by the “Cisco 2k Small Business CA” or keep using certificate signed by 1k CA. Be careful, it is optional because the new singed 2k server certificate is not compatible with old firmware (before 1.3.3).
