During the LCD monitor manufacturing process, it is not uncommon for one or more pixels to become fixed in an unchanging state which are hard to see and do not affect the display quality or usability. For more information on Dell Monitor Quality and Pixel Policy, Dell Display Pixel Guidelines.
Ergonomics CAUTION: Improper or prolonged usage of a keyboard may result in injury. CAUTION: Viewing the monitor screen for extended periods of time may result in eye strain. For comfort and efficiency, observe the following guidelines when setting up and using your computer workstation: Position your computer so that the monitor and keyboard are directly in front of you as you work.
Handling and moving your display To ensure that the monitor is handled safely when lifting or moving it, follow the guidelines that are mentioned below: • Before moving or lifting the monitor, turn off your computer and the monitor. • Disconnect all cables from the monitor.
For best practices, follow the instructions that are listed below when unpacking, cleaning, or handling your monitor: • Use a clean cloth that is slightly dampened with water to clean the stand assembly, the screen, and the chassis of your Dell monitor. If available, use a screen-cleaning tissue or solution suitable for cleaning Dell monitors.
Setting up the monitor Connecting the stand CAUTION: The following steps are important to protect your screen. Follow the instructions to complete the installation. NOTE: The stand is not installed at the factory when shipped. NOTE: The following instructions are applicable only for the stand that was shipped with your monitor. If you are attaching a stand that you purchased from any other source, follow the setup instructions that were included with the stand.

Using the tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment (AW2725DM) NOTE: The following instructions are applicable only for attaching the stand that was shipped with your monitor. Tilt and swivel adjustment With the stand attached to the monitor, you can tilt and swivel the monitor for the most comfortable viewing angle.
After you have rotated your monitor, you need to complete the procedure below to adjust the Rotation Display Settings of your system. NOTE: If you are using the monitor with a non-Dell computer, you need to go to the graphics driver website or your computer manufacturer website for information about rotating the 'contents' on your display.

Tilt adjustment With the stand attached to the monitor, you can tilt the monitor for the most comfortable viewing angle.
Organizing your cables After attaching all required cables to your monitor and computer (see Connecting your monitor for cable attachment), route the cables through the cable-management slot on the stand. If a cable does not reach your computer when routing it through the slot, then connect the cable directly to the computer instead. Figure 26.
To connect your monitor to the computer: 1. Turn off your computer and disconnect the power cable. 2. Connect the DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable or HDMI cable from your monitor to the computer. 3. Connect the USB Type-B end of the upstream cable to the monitor and the USB Type-A end of the cable to the computer. 4.
Securing your monitor using Kensington lock (optional) The security-lock slot is located at the bottom of the monitor (see Security-lock slot). Secure your monitor to a table using the Kensington security lock. For more information on using the Kensington lock (purchased separately), see the documentation that is shipped with the lock. NOTE: The following image is for the purpose of illustration only.
Removing the monitor stand CAUTION: To prevent scratches on the LCD screen when removing the stand, ensure that the monitor is placed on a soft, clean surface and handle it carefully. CAUTION: The following instructions are applicable only for the stand that is shipped with your monitor. If you are removing a stand that you purchased from any other source, follow the instructions that are included with the stand.

Locking the control buttons You can lock the monitor control buttons to prevent access to the OSD menu and/or power button. 1. Move and hold the joystick button up/down/left/right for about 4 seconds until a pop-up menu appears. 2. Customization of vision modes The AlienVision menu includes three Visions configurations: Vision 1, Vision 2, Vision 3. Each Vision configuration saves a different AlienVision effect settings, allowing you to quickly switch between them at any time. NOTE: To view the effects during features customization, toggle the PREVIEW switch to On. NOTE: Other product models may have different features supported.
