    About these instructions for use These instructions for use apply to all MK-dent straight handpieces and contra-angle handpieces (see section 4 Product description). All products listed here are only intended for dental treatment in the field of dentistry. Any kind of misuse or modification of the product is not permitted and may lead to hazards.

    Intended users MK-dent handpieces and contra-angle handpieces are intended exclusively for use by accredited dentists. Secondary users are the practice staff who are responsible for transport, processing and cleaning.

    Never disassemble or modify this product. This instrument must not be repaired by the user in the event of a malfunction. Contact your dealer or the MK-dent repair service. Please do not use the product if the performance of the product deteriorates or in case of malfunctions.

    → Pull on the drill to check that it sits firmly. → Check the holding force of the spindle at least once a week using the MK-dent holding force measuring tool RT1020 or another suitable device according to ISO 8325. The holding force of the spindle must not fall below 2.5 kg.

    8.3.1 Automatic cleaning, disinfection and rinsing NOTE NOTE MK-dent recommends thermal disinfection devices that satisfy the requirements of EN ISO 15883-1 and are approved by the manufacturer for dental handpieces and turbines. Cleaning should be performed at min. 55 °C (131 °F) for at least 6 minutes and disinfection at min.

    NOTE The instrument requires maintenance after each processing and before each sterilization. Use MK-dent Premium Service Oil LU1011 for this purpose.
