About these instructions for use These instructions for use apply to all MK-dent straight handpieces and contra-angle handpieces (see section 4 Product description). All products listed here are only intended for dental treatment in the field of dentistry. Any kind of misuse or modification of the product is not permitted and may lead to hazards. -

Intended users MK-dent handpieces and contra-angle handpieces are intended exclusively for use by accredited dentists. Secondary users are the practice staff who are responsible for transport, processing and cleaning. -

Never disassemble or modify this product. This instrument must not be repaired by the user in the event of a malfunction. Contact your dealer or the MK-dent repair service. Please do not use the product if the performance of the product deteriorates or in case of malfunctions. -

Check the water quantity with a measuring cup. Check the spray water tubes. If the water output is too low or a nozzle is clogged, clean the spray nozzle with the enclosed nozzle pin. MK-dent recommends lubricating the instrument after a treatment duration of 30 minutes, using MK-dent Premium Service Oil LU1011; see section 8.3.3 Maintenance, checks and testing. If the instrument is to be used again directly after it is lubricated, it must run in idle for 15 - 20 seconds to remove excess oil. -

The instruments can be sterilized. Do not use any sterilization temperatures above 135 °C (275 °F). Ultrasonic cleaning is not recommended for processing the instruments, as the ball bearings can be damaged, thereby reducing the product’s service life. Remove the drill bit from the collet and pull the instrument off the motor or quick coupling. Take off all removable parts (if any) and wash each part under running water. Manual pre-cleaning is also recommended in the case of automatic processing, such as for removing blockages in the spray channels. 8.3.1 Automatic cleaning, disinfection and rinsing NOTE NOTE MK-dent recommends thermal disinfection devices that satisfy the requirements of EN ISO 15883-1 and are approved by the manufacturer for dental handpieces and turbines. Cleaning should be performed at min. 55 °C (131 °F) for at least 6 minutes and disinfection at min. -

NOTE The instrument requires maintenance after each processing and before each sterilization. Use MK-dent Premium Service Oil LU1011 for this purpose. The instrument must be maintained after each processing and before each sterilization.
