    When installing RTN 380 on a rooftop upright pole, ensure that: 1. Antennas with a diameter of 0.3 m or less are used. RTN 380 can be installed on a rooftop upright pole only on the last microwave hop at the network tail.

  • Page 6 Safety Precautions 8-Core P&E Cable •The P&E RJ45 connector on an 8-core P&E cable is designated for a power over Ethernet port. Always connect the connector to the P&E port (3/P1 and 4/P2) on an OptiX RTN 900. Do not connect it to any other port, as shown in Figure 2. Even for temporary commissioning, connect the NMS-located computer to the NMS port of the RTN 900 (as shown in Figure 1) and never directly connect an 8-core P&E cable to the NMS-located computer (as shown in Figure 2).
