1 Overview of Adapter Box G2 1.1 Introduction Adapter Box G2, with 4 dry contact and 1 analog signal channels, can control devices that support these types of signals. In the field of photovoltaic system, it controls related devices based on the amount of surplus energy, battery SOC and preset system schedules.

Adapter Box G2 supports 16 states represented by different on/off status combinations of the 4 dry contacts. Users can set the heat pump to work at different steps from 0 to 15 on SolaxCloud, and configure each step based on their needs for control precision.

Adapter Box G2 supports a voltage range of 0 V -10 V. Users can divide the voltage range into 16 operating steps for the heat pump. For details on configuration, see 5 Configuration of APP.

• Make sure the Adapter Box G2 and the inverter are properly connected. • There is normal power supply for the Adapter Box G2, either from the power adapter or inverter. • The heat pump has been correctly set based on its external control mode.

5.2 Adding Plant and Network Configuration Step 1: Tap the icon “+” and fill the basic information to add a plant. Step 2: Tap Add to add the Adapter Box G2 by scan the QR code or enter the registration number on the device.

Step 3: Confirm the device and configure the network. After successful configuration, adapter box G2 will display on this device page. You can add a new device by tapping the “+” on the upper right corner. Tap on the adapter box G2 to enter the device details page.

5.3 Settings for the Adapter Box G2 This details page include device name, device connection status, online status, select mode, load management, remote settings, and view the operating status. These will be detailed below. Note! When adapter box is offline, you cannot set the mode, cannot click the loads in the load list to enter the load details interface, you cannot add new loads, the Operating status is not displayed, and you cannot enter the remote setting interface.

When selecting Smart mode, tap the icon “ “ and then set the gear you want the load to be applied to when in manual mode. It is also supports to modify or add or delete gears for all gears. Modifications here will also be synchronized to the gears in smart mode.

b) AO Connection method After selecting the AO Connection method, you can set 0-15 steps by sliding the progress bar., and tap Confirm to save the setting. After the setting is completed, the load information part is the same as selecting the DO connection method, but the interface of the mode setting is different, as shown as follows.

Note! The range of Start time and End time should be at 00:00-23:59 and the End time must be later than the Start time. The Timing setting has the highest priority and controls the operation of the Adapter box G2.

The time period is valid when the time period enable switch is turned on and invalid when it is turned off. Up to 6 time periods can be set, adjust the time periods by Delete and Add. Notice that the Start time, Stop time, Repeat every month and Repeat every week can not all be set the same.

5.3.5 Operating Status ,When the adapter box G2 is online, you can tap the Operating status to enter the following page, this page displays the switching status of the 4 dry contact, the output voltage and the current gear of the load.
