The indicator light is enabled by user indication through on-screen button selection or device errors communicated to the system. 17" PCap Touchscreen Used to enter data or select pre-determined functions.     Product Overview Accessing the Components To service the kiosk, load printer paper roll, perform kiosk maintenance, clear jams, or power up the system, open the countertop or pedestal to access the components. Before opening the countertop or pedestal, always shut down the software and power down the kiosk.

    Hardware Installation Chapter 2: Overview The hardware installation of the NCR TouchPort 120 Kiosk varies according to the kiosk configuration, either Countertop or Pedestal. This guide is intended for NCR personnel or NCR customer personnel who are qualified to install the kiosk.

    • Do not route the power cord through openings with sharp edges. Caution: The units contains hazardous voltages and should only be serviced by qualified service personnel. Note: Due to the weight of the NCR TouchPort 120 kiosk, a minimum of two persons is required to install the kiosk.

    Refer to the NCR TouchPort 120 (2368) Site Preparation Guide (BCC5-0000-5049) for details of the kiosk dimensions, weights, packaging dimensions, and clearances required for moving the kiosk in a confined space.

    Hardware Installation 2-24 Removing the External Packaging Before removing the external packaging, examine the kiosk for signs of damage that may have occurred during transit. Take note of any external damage. When the kiosk is approximately in its final installation position, remove the external packaging according to the kiosk configuration.

Remove the dust bag cover that covers the kiosk. 7. Remove the tape securing the plastic accessories bag to the cabinet. Remove the contents of the bag.

    2-43 Hardware Installation Bolting the Countertop with NCR Millwork The kiosk must be bolted to the countertop. The countertop construction determines the type of anchors to use—bolts and nuts, lag bolts, screws, and so forth. 1. Mark the location of the anchor holes of the kiosk on the countertop or use the dimensions below.

Note: It is important that the leading edge of the paper is a clean cut and free from rips, tears, or adhesive.

The hole patterns for the Base Tray and the Customer Millwork are the same. Note: The anchors are not shipped with the kiosk and must be obtained locally. Pull out the sliding tray to reveal and locate the mounting holes. Note: Make sure that the mounting holes of the millwork, base tray, and countertop are all aligned.

    Hardware Installation 2-62 Installing the Head Assembly Caution: To prevent the kiosk from toppling over, make sure to hold the bucket down. 1. Carefully position the head assembly on the tray. Note: Observe proper alignment because there are hooks and PEM nuts on both sides of the tray.

Note: The fastening torque value is maximum of 3 in-lbs. 5. Route the LAN Cable from the 20–Link Chain as shown below, and then connect to the LAN Port of the Motherboard.

    2-85 Hardware Installation Bolting the Kiosk The kiosk is bolted to the floor to secure the kiosk in its location.
