Chapter 1: Introduction The NCR SelfServ™ XK32 (2247) Kiosk is a self-service order and pay kiosk. It can provide up to two terminals (Dual-Sided Kiosk) in a single installation footprint. Each terminal uses a 32-inch PCAP Touchscreen and Display that provides multi-touch and gesture support for easy customer interaction.

Product Overview Accessing Components To service the kiosk, perform kiosk maintenance, or power up the system, open the kiosk to access the components. Before opening the kiosk, always shut down the system application and power down the kiosk, see Turning OFF the Kiosk on page 10.

1-10 Product Overview Turning the Kiosk ON and OFF Caution: The Motherboard ON/OFF Switch is a logic switch only. The AC line voltage primaries are live at all times when the External AC Power Cable is connected to a power source. Therefore, disconnect the External AC cable to totally remove power from the terminal.
Single-Sided Kiosk, Double-Side Kiosk, or Wall Mount Single Kiosk. This guide is intended for NCR personnel or NCR customer personnel who are qualified to install the kiosk. Perform the following steps to successfully install the NCR SelfServ XK32 Kiosk: 1.

Hardware Installation 2-13 Required Tools When installing the kiosk, NCR recommends that you have the following tools available: • Philips screwdrivers (#1,#2, and #3) • Metric nut driver set • Scissors or diagonal cutters (for removing cable bindings) • Lifting or moving device with a toe plate of suitable length and width to fit under the kiosk shipping pallet.
Refer to the NCR SelfServ™ XK32 (2247) Site Preparation (BCC5-0000-5377) for details of the kiosk dimensions, weights, and clearances required for moving the kiosk in a confined space.
When the Kiosk is approximately in its final installation position, remove the external packaging according the kiosk configuration: 1. Verify that the NCR SelfServ™ XK32 (2247) Kiosk model number received is the same as the model number ordered. 2. Pull out the Display from the main box and place the Display on a safe place.

Rotate the top part of the Display into the kiosk, inserting the partially mounted screws through the keyhole slots on the door panel and then slowly slide the Display down until it rests on the kiosk.
