    Always wear gloves, eye protection, and appropriate safety gear when working with pullers. 1. Remove iTOOLco Cannon 6K from the shipping crate. 2. iTOOLco Cannon 6K is designed to be used with a drill motor. (Fig. 1) 3. Ensure Battery is fully charged.

    ATTACHING CONDUIT ADAPTERS Using the Universal Adapter Loosen the 1/2” ( 12.7 mm.) bolt (Fig.1) on either side of the front head. Slide the universal adapter in or out (Fig. 2) to accommodate the appropriate size of conduit. Make sure that the adapter engages the conduit.
  • Page 17 ATTACHING CONDUIT ADAPTERS Using the 2”- 4” Adapters (51 mm. - 102 mm.) Place the desired conduit adapter size into the top of the universal adapter. Slide the adapters toward the puller until the adapter is all the way back. (Fig. 4) FIG.

    UNDERGROUND WIRE PULL 1. Pivot front extension assembly as needed and reinsert pin. (Fig. 1) 2. Lift up the front end and place the conduit adapter into conduit. (Fig. 2) Always make sure the conduit adapter sits flush around the conduit you are pulling through. 3.
  • Page 19 UNDERGROUND WIRE PULL (CONT.) 8. Loosely wrap the rope around the appropriate capstan starting with two wraps about capstan. (Fig. 5) Start turning the capstan by engaging the rope engagment switch. (Fig. 6) Continually add wraps to the capstan while maintaining tension on the rope. The goal is to match the speed of the capstan with the rope to turn at the same rate.

    OVERHEAD WIRE PULL 1. Convert the Cannon 6K to an overhead configuration by removing the cinch pin at the main knuckle to extend. (Fig. 1) Pull the snap pin, and rotate the front end right or left to the desired position.
  • Page 21 OVERHEAD WIRE PULL (CONT.) 7. Use proper lubricant or no-lube wire to make pulling jobs smoother. 8. Determine which capstan to use. For lighter loads at high speed, use the large diameter capstan. For heavy loads, use the small diameter capstan. 9.

    USE OF THE MAIN ROLLER When pulling with extensions in use always make sure the rope is engaging the main roller, failure to do so could result in bending the extensions and harm to you. NEVER BYPASS A ROLLER. Failure to do so could cause bending of the extension. Page 22...
