    5.3 Preparing the TECHNIRADIO RDR XL for operation 5.3.1 Insert battery > Open the battery compartment on the back of the device by lifting the battery compartment cover using the tab. Then remove the cover. > Insert the battery, ensuring that the gold contacts are aligned with each other.

    The battery is charged as soon as the device is supplied with power. Use the supplied USB-C charging cable/power supply unit for this. Replace or recharge a weakening battery in good time. The building compartment cover is part of the fire protection housing. Please do not dispose of the battery compartment cover and ensure that the battery compartment cover is in place during normal use.

    5.4 General device functions 5.4.1 Switch on the device Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. > After switching on for the first time, the operating language must first be selected. Use the </> buttons to select an operating language and press the OK button to accept.

    The I button can be used to switch between the different display modes. 6 Menu operation You can access all functions and settings of the TECHNIRADIO RDR XL via the menu. The menu is navigated using the M, ,<> and OK buttons. The menu is divided into submenus and contains different menu items or functions that can be activated depending on the mode type (DAB+, FM, BT).

    8.2 FM (VHF) reception with RDS information RDS is a procedure for transmitting additional information about FM stations. Broadcasters with RDS transmit their station name or programme type for example. This is shown on the display. The device can display the RDS information RT (radio text), PS (station name), PTY (programme type).

    9 Bluetooth In Bluetooth mode, you can music from a connected smartphone or tablet via the speakers of the TECHNIRADIO RDR XL, for example. To do this, both devices must first be "paired" with each other. 9.1 Switch on Bluetooth operation Switch to Bluetooth mode by pressing the MOD button.

    De batterij wordt opgeladen zodra het apparaat van stroom wordt voorzien. Gebruik hiervoor de meegeleverde USB-C oplaadkabel/voedingseenheid. Vervang of laad een verzwakte batterij tijdig op. Het deksel van het batterijvak is onderdeel van de brandbeveiligingsbehuizing. Gooi de klep van het batterijcompartiment niet weg en zorg ervoor dat de klep van het batterijcompartiment op zijn plaats zit tijdens normaal gebruik.
