Assembly / Mounting / Installation • Mounting, electric connection and start-up may be executed by qualified personnel only. • It is the installer’s responsibility that the installation and safety instructions are in accordance with current standards and regulations • Every fan has to be grounded according to the current standard • Do not use the fan as part of a construction • In case the moving part of the fan (the impeller) is below 2.7 m (measured from the floor to the lowest point of the fan), a protective wire guard (according to EN-ISO 13857) is mandatory. • Remove the red condense plug, mounted at the lowest point of the motor. Keep the condense plug in a safe place, for it is necessary to use it during cleaning and maintenance work. • Keep the water outlets open at all times. • Using the optional suspension set is recommended. • Always attach the cover on the hub. This avoids humidity penetrating the bearings, causing a serious reduction of the life span. • Assemble the fan according to the instruction, see FIG IV in the assembly manual. CAUTION: In case of speed regulation, the fan may vibrate when incorrectly mounted/installed. Check this before completing the installation.
Start-up Before connecting the fan to mains power supply be sure that the specifications on the production label match the local voltage and frequency. Make sure that the controller is suitable for the fan and that the fan is suitable for the controller. CAUTION: If the fan is provided with a cable and the type label states AAxx, wiring diagram I of FIG VII applies. CAUTION: If the fan is provided with a cable and the type label states ABxx or ACxx, wiring diagram II of FIG VII applies.
Maintenance and maintenance diagram CAUTION: Never carry out mainenance work on a working/rotating fan! Always disconnect from mains power supply before maintenance work. During all maintenance of the fan: • the mains voltage has to be switched off. • the power circuit has to be disconnected an secured against reconnection. • all rotating parts have to be brought to a complete standstill • all safety and work regulations have to comply with EN 50110-1. • all work has to be carried out by qualified personnel (according to EN 50110-1). Servicing: •...
Malfunctions / Repair Caution: In case the fan does not rotate, this may be caused by the thermal protection. The fan turns on again automatically. Contact your installer in case of malfunction. To be checked by the installer: Is there a problem with the mains power supply? Is the fuse blown? Is the wiring loose? Have the bearings seized? Is the impeller blocked?
