Switch Description The DGS-1520 series is the latest next generation of Smart Managed switches from D-Link. Switches in this series feature a wide selection of different ports types and speeds that can be used to interconnect a variety of networking devices to communicate with each other.

DGS-1520 Series Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Switch Hardware Installation Guide Installing the Switch in a Standard 19" Rack This section is used to guide the user through installing the Switch into a switch rack. The Switch can be mounted in a standard 19"(1U) rack using the rack mounting kit included in the package contents.

NOTE: Only the DGS-1520-28 and DGS-1520-52 feature a MGMT PoH-capable port on the back panel. NOTE: The D-Link DPS-520 Managed PSE is the recommended DC power sourcing equipment for the Switch. CAUTION: Do not connect the RPS to AC power before the PoH cable is connected. This might damage the internal power supply.
The D-Link DPS-700 is the recommended RPS for the Switch. This RPS is designed to conform to the wattage requirements of D-Link’s Ethernet and Gigabit switches and can be connected to the RPS port of the Switch using a 22-pin DC power cable. A standard, three-pronged AC power cable connects the RPS to the main power source.

Reconnect the AC power cord to the AC power port of the Switch. The RPS LED indicator on the front panel of the Switch will indicate that an RPS is present and now in operation.
