SAFETY

Please read the instruction manual before use, and keep it in case you need to use it again. The illustrations serve as examples only.

  1. Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance corresponds to the local input voltage before connecting the power.
  2. Do not use the appliance if the plug, power cord or the appliance itself is damaged.
  3. If the power cord is damaged, contact an authorised service centre.
  4. Children should not play with the machine or use the machine unsupervised.
  5. Please be careful when adding water or cleaning. Do not add too much water, if not, the water will overflow the appliance, which can cause a short Circuit or other problems.
  6. Do not use accessories or parts produced by other manufacturers or not recommended by Neno. If used, the warranty will become invalid.
  7. Do not immerse the main body in water. Do not put the appliance on or near the stove or a cooker which are hot or in use.
  8. Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning.
  9. The machine is designed for household use only. If operated inappropriately (used for commercial/semi commercial purposes or not according to the user's manual) the warranty will become invalid. Neno will not be held responsible for damage caused by inappropriate use.
  10. Place the appliance on a stable, fiat position and make sure there is enough space to avoid damage to surroundings caused by steam from the machine.
  11. Do not use this product without adding water.
  12. If the appliance is damaged, do not use it again. Contact an authorised service centre.
  13. Do not lift or move the appliance when in use.
  14. Do not add water to the tank when steaming, otherwise the hot water or steam may be expelled.
  15. Maintenance, repair, or installation performed by anyone outside of the authorized Neno personnel will cause loss of warranty.
  16. Any damage caused by inappropriately installing the product, dis-assembly, or improper use is not covered by the warranty.

  17. Do not remove the lid while the water is boiling.

  18. Place the lid on the sup so that the steam is directed away from the handle.
  19. If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced by an authorised Neno.
  20. The machine can be used by and maintenance must not be done by children unless they are 8 years or older and under supervision. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years old.
  21. If the cup is overfilled, boiling water may be expelled.
  22. The machine can keep warm for a while after use.

    1. Plug in the power supply and the machine will make a sound and the digital panel will light up for 1 second.
    2. Press the power button SEE FIG. B and the screen will display the current water temperature and the water function and mode buttons will become active.

    3. Click on a function of choice key to start the corresponding action.
    4. After 2 minutes the machine will go into standby mode, the digital panel will dim, and the machine will go into child-lock mode.
    5. To restart the machine, click SEE FIG. B on the digital panel. To shut down the machine, press and hold the SEE FIG. B button for 1.5 seconds.

PREPARATION

  1. Add water into the tank. Remember that the water level should not exceed the MAX line.
  2. To eliminate the factory odor from the appliance, it is suggested to add water to the MAX level of the water tank and press the boil function then press and hold the water button and drain the water from the tank.

warning Note:
It is not recommended to use tap or mineral water because the minerals in the water will cause scale accumulation. It is suggested to pour only purified water into the water tank.

FEATURES

  1. Keeping warm
    Select the keep warm function on the display and press the + or - button to set the desired temperature (the temperature range is 38-85°C). When the selected temperature is reached, the unit will beep 3 times.
    warning Note: The following situations should be noted:
    1. When the water temperature is lower than the selected temperature, the unit will first heat the water to the set temperature and keep it constant.
    2. When the water temperature is higher than the selected temperature, the appliance does not heat the water, but allows it to cool naturally until the coffee machine reaches the required temperature.
    3. For your family's safety, when you select the keep warm and finish function, the coffee machine runs for a maximum of 24 hours. After 24 hours, the machine will automatically switch off.
  2. Boiling water
    Select the boil water function on the screen and press the + or - button to set the heating temperature. When you have set the temperature the unit will make a short beep, the icon will blink twice and boil water will start.
    1. When the water boil function is on, the appliance automatically heats the water to 100°C. If the water temperature is above or below the set temperature, the appliance will allow the water to cool naturally and the water boil function will switch off. Press the keep warm button to automatically switch to the keep warm function.
    2. For your family's safety, once the keep warm function has been selected and you have finished, the coffee machine runs for a maximum of 24 hours. After 24 hours the machine will automatically switch off itself.
  3. Cooling
    Select the auto/fan (chill) function button on the display. When switched on, the unit will make a short beep, the temperature icon will blink 2 times and the unit will start cooling the water. When the actual water temperature is higher than the selected temperature, the unit will switch on the fan and cool the water and maintain the temperature.
    1. When the water temperature is below the selected temperature, the unit will boil the water to 100°C, make a short beep and then turn on the fan to quickly cool the water to the set temperature and maintain it.
    2. For your family's safety, when you select the keep warm and finish function, the coffee machine runs for a maximum of 24 hours. After 24 hours, the machine will automatically switch off.
  4. Water
    The boil (boil water) button has the following settings:
    1. When the water button is pressed, the coffee machine pours 50ml at a time.
    2. To pour water, press and hold the water button, the unit will make a short beep and start running, to stop the water release the button.
  5. Memory
    When keep warm and boil are activated, the appliance screen will show the last set temperature; when keep warm and boil are activated again, the appliance will return to the factory temperature settings.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

  1. Clean the appliance immediately after every use.
  2. Do not immerse the main body in water.
  3. Do not use bleaching or chemical solution/tablets for the appliance.
  4. Do not use steel wool, abrasive cleaners, or corrosive liquid (such as petrol, acetone, or alcohol) to clean the appliance.
  5. Do not lift or move the appliance when in use.
  6. Do not let the power cord hang from the table or touch hot objects.

CLEANING METHOD

  1. Disconnect the power.
  2. Remove the tank cover.
  3. Pour out the water from the tank.
  4. Wipe the tank with a dry towel or a dry cotton cloth.

warning Note: If there is still residual heat after use, wait 10 minutes before cleaning it.

DESCALING THE APPLIANCE

The scale should be removed every week to ensure 100% working efficiency. Regular cleaning can help reduce accumulation of scale. When disposing of food residues and limescale from the water container:

  1. Mix a small packet of citric acid (about 10 grams) with distilled water (about 100ml) and pour into a water container or use a mixture of 100ml boiled water and 30ml vinegar (8%).
  2. Press the boil button to start working and disconnect the appliance after it is finished.
  3. Pour out the acetic acid (or vinegar) solution and wipe the surface of the tank with a dry towel or cotton cloth.
  4. Use a towel or a cotton cloth to wipe the heating plate several times until it is clean.
  5. Keep the tank as dry as possible to prevent bacterial growth.

Fault Analysis Solving methods
The machine does not heat up Check: is the thermostat disconnected?
Check: Is the temperature set lower than the actual water temperature?
Wait for the machine to cool down and then restart it. Follow the instructions to set the temperature.
"E3" appears on the digital screen Check: Is the water tank out of water? Add more water
The machine does not turn on Check: Is the water tank out of water? Add more water
