This owner's manual includes operation instructions for the aspects of the ve- hicle, assembly instructions, and instructions on how to deal with possible accidents. This owner's manual is written for Karma Scooter. The symbols used in this manual are explained below. Pay special attention to the parts marked with these symbols.

2. SAFETY Ramps, incline and drops Do not drive onto steep ramp. Refer to page 27 "CLIMBING ANGLE" in section "10. SPECIFICATION" When climbing up to an inclined road, please drive slowly and you can set the speed dial to level high than "5". When going down an incline road, never reverse your scooter and you shall set the speed dial to lowest speed "1".

3. EMI 1. Hand-held portable transceivers ( transmitter-receivers with the antenna mou- nted directly on the transmitting unit. Examples include: citizens band (CB) radios, "walkie talkie", security, fire, and police transceivers, cellular telepho- nes and other personal communication devices. NOTE: some cellular telephones or similar devices transmit signal while they are ON, even though they are not being in use.

EMI WARNINGS Electromagnetic interference (EMI) from sources such as radio and TV stations, amateur radio (HAM) transmitters, two-way radios, and cellular phones can affect powered vehicles and motorized scooter. Following the warnings listed below should reduce the chance of unintended brake release or powered vehicle movement which could result in serious injuries.

5. OPERATION Forward, Reverse, and Braking Push the right-hand side of the engager lever forward with your right thumb and the scooter will move forward. Push the left-hand side of the engager lever forward with your left thumb and the scooter will move backward. The horn will buzz when the vehicle is in reverse.

5. OPERATION Chair/seat The chair can be rotated up to 90 degrees to the side. Push up the seat adjustment bar forward to rotate the chair. Caution Be sure to return the chair to the forward position before driving. Battery Indicator For KS 333/343/242 When the power switch is turned on, the battery indicator will light up.
1. It is recommended that you charge the battery immediately when the battery indicator gets close to "0"by 2 or 3 grids (KS333 / KS343) or indicator lamp becomes red (KS-242). 2. After charging or replacing a new battery, drive the vehicle for 2-3 minu- tes to make sure the battery is fully charged.

CAUTION Please follow the guidelines below to avoid accidents while charging. 1. Be sure to use the KARMA Scooter charger only, and charge the battery completely every time. The battery can be damaged if a non-genuine charger is used. Karma is not responsible for any injury or damage from such action.

6. Clean the battery with a clean cloth. If the terminal is covered by white powder, please clean it using warm water. SUGGESTION: If necessary, ask for help from your KARMA Scooter dealer for cleansing and replacing of the battery. SUGGESTION: 1 .Make sure the terminal is installed properly and put the cover back on.
ASSEMBLE AND DISASSEMBLY 7. Assemble and Disassembly 7.1 Disassemble 1. Under the front side of the seat you will find a knob. Turn the knob completely off (counter-clockwise). Remove the seat by pulling it straight up until the seat post separates from the frame post. Next, on top of the shroud (casing) are two smaller knobs.

INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE 8.2 REGULAR MAINTENANCE RECORD To make sure your scooter is in good condition, visit KARMA Scooter dealer reg- ularly for maintenance and keep the record accordingly every six months after purchasing.(Fee may apply) SUGGESTION: Even if you don't use the vehicle for a long time, the scooter should be still maintained regularly.
If the power switch is turned ON and the battery indi- cator does not light up, check the fuse as it may be broken. SUGGESTION: Ask for help from your KARMA Scooter dealer for inspecting or replacing thefuse, since the tiller shroud has to be removed to replace fuse. Tire The condition of the tires is affected by the way you drive and use your scooter.
