TPS6286A06 and TPS6286A10 Buck Converter Evaluation
Module
Description
The TPS6286A06 and TPS6286A10 device are
high-frequency, synchronous step-down converters
optimized for a small design size and high
efficiency. The devices focus on high-efficiency,
step-down conversion over a wide output current
range. At medium to heavy loads, the converter
operates in Pulse-width Modulation (PWM) mode and
automatically enters power save mode operation at
light load to maintain high efficiency over the entire
load-current range. The device is available in a
2.00mm × 3.00mm, QFN package.

    TPS6286Axx devices. The TPS6286AxxEVM-050 is designed to help the user easily evaluate and test the operation and functionality of the TPS6286A06 and TPS6286A10 buck converters. The EVM converts 2.4V to 5.5V input voltage to a regulated 1.2V output voltage. The output current can go up to 6A for the TPS6286A06EVM-050 and up to 10A for TPS6286A10EVM-050.

  • Page 4 The printed-circuit board (PCB) for this EVM is designed to accommodate the different output current versions (6A, 8A, and 10A) of this integrated circuit (IC). On the EVM, default output voltage can be changed by adjusting the feedback resistors. For TPS6286A06, 2 × 22uF output capacitors can be removed from the EVM for evaluation purposes.
