Basic Operations of the Scanner Power Supply Turning the Power ON The power of the scanner is controlled by the power button on the front of the scanner. Make sure that the scanner and computer are connected properly. Press the power button. When the scanner is properly connected to the computer, the (CaptureOnTouch) icon appears on the taskbar as follows.

Scanning with Advanced Settings If you want to scan with software other than the CaptureOnTouch Detecting a document double feed advanced settings dialog box or the bundled software, refer to the Help for the scanner driver. This scanner includes a function to detect document double feeds. By using this function, the scanner will automatically stop when it detects that multiple documents have been fed at the same time.

When Using Continue Scanning If a document double feed is detected during scanning, document feeding stops when the double fed documents are ejected. The following message appears on the touch panel, and you can specify whether to continue scanning. Also, the [Rapid recovery system] screen appears to enable you to specify whether to continue scanning.
Making settings You can make the detailed settings for the scanner from the Web Menu displayed by the web browser and the Settings Menu on the touch panel.
