3 Safety instructions Please take the time and read these general safety instructions carefully. Follow all the instructions. This will help you avoid the risk of fire, explosions, electric shocks or other hazards that may result in damage to property and/or severe or fatal injuries. Please ensure that everyone who uses the appliance has read and followed these warnings and instructions. - Page 6 • Protect the mains adapter from use by third parties (particularly children). Keep the mains adapter in a dry, elevated or locked location away from children. • The appliance may only be installed by a qualified and trained electrician. • Check the appliance and cable for any damage before installation.

4 Installation • The appliance may only be installed by a qualified and trained electrician. • Before you install the appliance, you should check it for damage. If damage has occurred during transport, please inform the manufacturer immediately. Page 19: Maintenance And Cleaning
Maintenance and cleaning Cleaning the appliance • Make sure you switch off the appliance. • Unplug the power supply before cleaning the appliance. • Always let the appliance and its components cool down before cleaning them. • Do not use wipes, chemicals or alcohol as these could damage the surface. -
Page 20: Replacing The Active Carbon Filter
Clean the mesh filters. Monthly (see Cleaning the mesh filters) Clean the active carbon filter. Every 3 to 6 months (see Replacing the active carbon filter) Cleaning the mesh filter To clean the mesh filters: Remove a mesh filter. To clean the filter, do one of the following: • Cleaning manually (max. 30 °C): Soak the filter for about 3 minutes in water with a mild non-corrosive grease-removing detergent. - Page 21 To replace the active carbon filter: Disconnect the power supply from the wall socket. Remove the mesh filter(s). Replace the active carbon filters on both sides of the motor. NOTICE Turn left to remove a previously installed carbon filter. Turn right to place a carbon filter on the motor. Turn the filter slightly to the left or pull it carefully until the filter is installed properly. Match the brackets of the filter with the holding mechanism of the motor and pull carefully until the filter locks. Place the mesh filter. Connect the power supply to the wall socket.
