GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
• Identify and inspect all parts using the Parts List and Parts Diagram.
• Thoroughly read the directions before starting.
• Set up a dedicated work area to avoid the need to unpack,
repack, or move the project frequently.
• Use a clean, level, and dry work surface protected from glue spills.
• Dry fit the parts using masking tape to ensure everything aligns
correctly before permanent assembly.
Tips:
Remove paper from plexiglass before installing in the
front windows.
Remember, it is easier to work on the individual walls
on your work table before assembling the shop.
Suggested Finishing Techniques BEFORE Construction:
Stain or Paint walls, facade and trims before assem-
bling the store.
Apply any outside finish, such as: Brick or Clapboard.
Decide how you are going to finish the inside of the
store ; the walls, are going to electrify the store, hard
wire or tape wire?
Fit and match wallpaper, wainscoting, paneling, etc.
to inside of walls and apply.
The plexiglass included for the front windows can
be used clear or made into "stained glass" windows.
(See "stained glass" windows in "Everything You
Wanted To Know About Dollhouses But Didn't Know
Who To Ask" instruction book.) Glue the plexiglass
into the windows. Be careful to only put glue on the
edges. "Stained glass" windows should be finished
before gluing in place.
Fit any window treatments and secure in place.
Glue hardware on door.
If Framed Plexiglass Top is not assembled, fit the
four pieces of grooved trim around large piece of
plexiglass and glue at joints. Do not get glue on vis-
ible area of plexiglass. Secure with masking tape
and allow to dry.
