WaveLinx LITE Quick Start Guide: Configuring Acoustic Ceiling Sensors in Stand-Alone Mode
Configure the Occupancy Settings
Use this section to adjust the ceiling sensor's settings for:
• Occupancy Hold Time
• PIR Sensitivity
• Acoustics (operation)
• Acoustic Sensitivity
Open communication to configure the Acoustic Ceiling
Sensor.
Select the desired Hold Time.
The hold time determines how long the system will delay once the
sensor is no longer detecting occupancy before turning the
connected load OFF.
Select 5, 10, or 20 from the drop down OR
Select Other and then type in the number of minutes (1 to 40)
and tap
to save the entered time.
Select the desired PIR Sensitivity.
Use the drop down to select between HIGH and LOW sensitivity for
the PIR technology.
Use LOW if a sensor is turning lights on when motion is
detected outside of the desired area.
Switch to HIGH to regain the full motion sensing range.
Select whether the Acoustics technology should operate.
The acoustic sensor will operate after the PIR sensor has signaled
initial occupancy.
If Enabled, both technologies will operate together to determine
if the space is still occupied to keep lighting on.
If Disabled, the sensor will use only the PIR technology.
Select the desired Acoustics Sensitivity.
Use the acoustic sensitivity drop down to select how sensitive the
acoustic detection should be. Choose between VERY HIGH, HIGH,
MEDIUM, LOW, and VERY LOW.

• Sensor (occupancy operation)
• LED Indicator
• Vacancy Mode (low voltage models only):
Under Advanced Settings, make sure that Sensor is Enabled.
If Enabled, the sensor will operate with the displayed settings.
If Disabled, the sensor will be placed in Override mode. The
lighting load will turn ON, bypassing ALL sensor functionality.
Under Advanced Settings, review the LED Indicator setting.
Leave Enabled (best practice) to allow the sensor LEDs to
operate. The LEDs are helpful to verify the sensor operation.
Set to Disabled to turn of the LEDs if they are a distraction in
the area.
Under Advanced Settings, use the slider if Vacancy Mode is
desired (use only for low voltage model sensors if connected
to a GMDS-W switch).
Regardless of the setting, the lighting will turn OFF when motion is
no longer detected and the defined hold time expires.
Disabled: (Occupancy Mode) The lighting will turn ON when the
sensor detects initial motion.
Enabled: (Vacancy Mode) The sensor will not turn ON lighting
upon initial motion detection. The occupant must turn ON loads
manually using the GMDS switch wired between the sensor's
brown lead and the switchpack's black lead wire.
