4. Remove the expansion-blade riser assembly from the expansion blade: a. Disconnect the auxiliary power cable (A) from the GPU adapter, as shown in the following illustration. b. Loosen the screws and remove the retention bracket, then disconnect the cable from the expansion-blade system board (B), as shown in the illustration above.

Unplug the GPU adapter from the PCIe connector in the riser assembly and lift it out of the riser assembly, as shown in the following illustration.

Light path diagnostics Light path diagnostics is a system of LEDs on the system board of the expansion blade. When an error is indicated by the fault LED on the front of the expansion blade, these LEDs inside the expansion blade can be lit to help identify the source of the error. The fault LED on the blade device on which the expansion blade is installed is also lit.
