The Starlock cushion is a vertical air cell cushion. Combining immersion, envelopment and offloading with stability and postural support - Starlock Technology locks air
into each vertical air cell making it possible to offload localized pressure while increasing stability and postural support.

General Setup
1. Ensure cushion is centered on the chair with air
cells up. Recommended orientation is with the air
valve at the front left for ease of access.
2. Pull the bulb pump from the storage pouch and
unlock the StarLock valve. Press the release but-
ton for 5 seconds.

3. Slide the pump's nozzle over the inflation valve
and inflate the cushion until full. If inflation is lim-
ited to valve corner cells, apply pressure to the
surface of the cushion and repeat step 2.

4. Remove the pump and close the valve.
5. Have the user sit in the chair, in their normal
seated position. Ensure the cushion remains cen-
tered on the chair. Press the button on the bulb
pump and hold down for 5 seconds to ensure all
air is released from the substrate and the cushion
is completely unlocked.

Hand Check Adjustment
1. Slide your hand between the user's bottom and
the cushion. Place your hand under the lowest
bony prominence and turn the air valve counter-
clockwise to let air out. Release air until your hand
becomes snug and there is a ¾" - 1" (2 - 3cm)
gap between the bottom of the cushion and the
lowest bony prominence.

2. When desired seating configuration is achieved,
turn the inflation valve clockwise to close, pump
the bulb pump until firm, lock the StarLock valve
and place ball pump back into the storage pouch.

NOTE: Pumping the bulb pump until firm locks the
air into the air cells. The pressure from air in the
substrate seals the individual air cell openings,
causing them to lock into place.
