Introduction
PEEK upgrade kit for FineLINE™ 35 oligo is an accessory kit to exchange POM-parts of
the column to the corresponding parts made of PEEK. The exchange is only necessary if
acetonitrile is used in the hydraulic chamber. PEEK parts can be distinguished from POM
parts by an in scripted P in the parts made of PEEK.

Safety
If you are working with hazardous and highly flammable solvents - accordingly, take all
necessary precautions including using protective glasses, gloves, work within well
ventilated areas and away from open flames and spark sources.
Before beginning work with the column, please pay attention to the following warning
instructions.

When using hazardous chemicals, all suitable protective measures,
such as working in a well ventilated area, wearing safety glasses,
protective gloves, and a lab coat, must be taken.
WARNING
When using hazardous chemicals, ensure that the entire column
has been emptied before service and maintenance is started.

- Page 4 Unpacking Unpack the PEEK upgrade kit carefully and check the contents against this packing list. Inspect for any damage that may have occurred during transportation. - Page 6 Place new o-rings (4) (5) and thread the adaptor tube (8) on the assembled adaptor lid PEEK and locking devices. Pull the assembled adaptor lid PEEK and locking devices to desired postion at the adaptor tube. Pull the locking unit (2) over the locking devices and fasten its screws to fix the adaptor lid PEEK.
- Page 7 Exchange the column top end piece Step Action Carefully remove the top end-piece (12). Place the new top end-piece PEEK in the same position. Assemble the column Step Action Place the washers (10) onto the tie rods (11) at the bottom end-piece and then loosely screw the nuts (20) into the threads.
- Page 8 Assemble the check valve (22) and new o-rings (21) in the same order in the new top end piece PEEK which is assembled on the column. Place the check valve holder (23) in the outer o-ring (21) and tighten it.
