■Features
- Allows installation of a 2-DIN head unit to replace the OEM head unit.
- Retains full function of factory Rockford Fosgate amplifier and speakers including sub woofer.
- Plug and play adapter with no modifications required to factory vehicle electrical harness.
- Allows steering wheel audio controls to new head unit.*
* Head unit must support steering wheel control input. Additional steering wheel control adapter may be required.
■Important
- In vehicles fitted with factory option rear seat monitor; the rear seat monitor will no longer function.
- Installation of aftermarket 2-DIN radio requires Mitsubishi 2-DIN trim panel/audio panel and mounting brackets.
- Mitsubishi ETACS settings require the connection of the original MMCS navigation head unit. As such, do not
dispose of he original MMCS head unit and store securely incase ETACS settings are required.
- Front/rear fader control & DSP functions from the aftermarket head unit are not supported.
- Aftermarket head unit must support steering wheel audio buttons to retain this functionality. Depending on the
aftermarket head unit, a separate steering wheel button interface may be required.
- This product will not rectify any pre-existing faults with the electrical system, factory amplifier and/or speakers.
- This product should be installed by an experienced motor vehicle technician or automotive electrical
professional.
- The user assumes all responsibility for any damages and/or injuries caused as a result of improper installation.
■Precautions
- Perform installation with patience and due care to prevent damage to this product or any part of the vehicle.
- Ensure all connectors, cables and terminals are correctly secured and fully inserted. Loose and/or improperly
secured connectors will cause malfunction.
- Always grasp the connector plug when disconnecting the cable harness. Never disconnect connectors by
pulling on the harness wires as serious damage can occur.
- Do not attempt to install this product on any vehicle other than the specified models.
- Do not disassemble, modify or attempt to repair this device.
- Beat-Sonic and its affiliates shall not be held responsible for any consequence, either directly or otherwise,
as a result of installing and/or using this product.
- Disconnect negative terminal of the vehicle battery prior to installation to prevent risk of short circuit.

Remove the factory head unit assembly (Outlander)

1. Remove the left and right side air vents by pulling away to detach the retaining clips
2. Remove the 2 bolts that hold the audio panel and remove the panel
3. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the head unit assembly and disconnect connectors to remove
Lancer Evolution X reverse camera connection

Installation of aftermarket head unit (Outlander)
Attach the Mitsubishi OEM 2-DIN brackets to the aftermarket head unit using the screws
supplied with the aftermarket head unit. Afix the adhesive padding tape to the upper and
lower front edges of the aftermarket head unit.

Secure the aftermarket head unit assembly into the dashboard using the 4 x fasteners
supplied with the Mitsubishi OEM 2-DIN brackets. Install the Mitsubishi OEM audio panel
using the 2 x fasteners supplied with the panel.
