The following table outlines the steps for removing and replacing the modem daughter card (MDC) for the Latitude™ D620.

Removing and Replacing the MDC

1. Before removing the MDC:
Remove the AC power.
Remove the battery.
Remove the optical drive.
Remove the hard drive.
Remove the hinge cover.
Remove the keyboard.
Remove the Bluetooth® card.
Remove the LCD removal.
Remove the palm rest assembly.
2. Locate the MDC card.
3. Remove the screw securing the MDC to the system board.
4.
Lift the MDC from the system board.
