Before using the washing machine for the first time, ensure that it is correctly installed and connected. Please read the separate Operating Instructions supplied with the appliance.
For safety reasons, spinning is not possible until the machine has been prepared for use for the first time. To activate the spinning function, you must run a wash program without laundry and without detergent.
Using detergent could result in an excessive build-up of foam!
The ball valve is activated at the same time. The ball valve prevents detergent escaping from the suds container into the sump during a wash program, thus making maximum use of the detergent.
Running the first program
At the end of the program
The symbol lights up on the control panel,
appears on the time display, and the drum occasionally rotates.

Using chlorine bleach

Chlorination must be activated in the settings before chlorine bleach is first used.
Dispensing chlorine bleach
Follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging.
The extra option Pre-wash must not be selected.
Using powder detergent
The detergent drawer contains an insert for liquid detergent in the compartment. This insert must be removed to use powder detergent.
Using powder detergent in the compartment is not possible.
CapDosing
Three different types of capsule are available:
Contents:
Fabric care (e.g. fabric softener, proofing agent)
Additives (e.g. detergent enhancers)
Detergent (for the main wash only)
Each cap contains the correct amount for one wash cycle.
Activating CapDosing
With Delay start, you can delay the start of a program from 30 minutes up to a maximum of 24 hours.
This allows you to make use of night-time economy electricity rates, for example.
Selecting Delay start
The Delay start process starts and counts down on the time display.
Tip: Delay start cannot be selected in the Drain/Spin or Proofing programs.
Extra options are selected and deselected using the relevant sensor buttons on the control panel.
Heavy soiling
For laundry that is very heavily soiled. The extended wash duration enhances the stain-removing effect.
Light soiling
For slightly soiled textiles that are not stained. The wash duration is reduced.
Prewash
For laundry with large amounts of dirt, e.g. dust and sand.
Buzzer
A buzzer sounds at the end of the program. The buzzer sounds until the washing machine is switched off. The buzzer volume can be changed.
