Installation Location Your gas appliance must be installed on a flat, stable surface, away from any combustible materials or construction. Installation will be much easier with two or more people. Minimum clearance from combustible constructions: rear and side: 40 in. / 1016 mm, top 72 in. / 1829 mm. (Fig.1) Fig.1 Set Up Your gas appliance comes assembled, ready for a gas connection.

3. Unscrew the battery box, insert the negative electrode side of the battery into the bottom of the battery box. (Fig.6) NOTE: The battery is located in the plastic bag with the instruction manual. Leak Check WARNING!!! Do not use an open flame to check for leaks. Do not smoke during testing. Do not test indoors. A leak check must be performed whenever the gas cylinder is replaced. NOTE 1. Make sure the gas control knob (I2) is in the “OFF" position. Open access doors. 2.

Shut Down the Gas Appliance 1. Press in and turn the gas control knob (I2) to “OFF” to shut down appliance. 2. Turn the gas cylinder valve (1) off when the gas appliance will not be in use. WARNING Do not try to cool lava glass with cold water right after shutting down the gas appliance or they will get crack.
