- Page 8 4. VALVE TRIM INSTALLATION 4.1 To install the valve body, a mounting bracket (typically made from wood) is required. It is crucial to ensure that the distance from the mounting bracket (the side where the valve body is attached) to the finish wall falls within the specified range: a minimum of 2-3/4 inches (70mm) and a maximum of 3.0 inches (75mm).
- Page 9 Wrap an appropriate amount of plumber's tape clockwise around the threads of the spout nut. Then, using a hex wrench, tighten the nut onto the faucet valve body by turning it clockwise. Make sure to ensure a good seal to prevent any leaks. Remark: If the installation is not successful on the first attempt, or if the spout nut loosens when turned counterclockwise, you will need to unscrew the spout nut.
- Page 10 4.4 Turn on your shut-off valve for cleaning the hot and cold water supply tube before connect to the valve trim, allow the water flush 3~5 minutes to flush out dirt and debris. Shut off the water supply again after finish. 4.5 Apply plumber's tape (Teflon tape) to the threaded outlets of the hot and cold water supply pipes.
- Page 11 4.6 Install finish wall. When preparing the finish wall for the installation of the valve body, three circular holes must be drilled based on the precise locations needed f or the installation. The recommended diameter for these holes is 1-1/4 inches (32mm). If using drill bits of different sizes, ensure that the diameter of t he holes for the hot and cold control valves (located on each side) ranges between a minimum of 1-1/4 inches (32mm) and a maximum of 1-25/32 inc hes (45mm).
- Page 12 4.8 Align the spout with the spout nipple and push it in. Then, using a hex key, tighten the set screw at the bottom of the spout to secure it in place. 4.9 Rotate the flange adapter onto the flange cover, align it, and then push it onto the valve cartridge sleeve.
- Page 13 4.10 Secure the knobs to cartridge stem with screw by Philips screwdriver. 4.11 Rotate the handle cover clockwise to install it onto the hot and cold control handles.
