Something bad has happened to my clock radio. I don't know what caused it or how to get rid of it. At midnight every night, it starts beeping. I can stop the beeping by going to the room where the device is and pressing the on/off button. However, this is becoming increasingly tiresome. It has never happened before in the 18 months since I bought the radio. The clock, the alarm and the radio are all working normally. I have previously found the device perfect for my requirements. Can you advise me what to do?
The Philips TAR3306/12 clock radio may beep at midnight every night if an alarm is set for that time. Check if either alarm (AL1 or AL2) is activated and set to 12:00 AM. If so, pressing AL1 or AL2 repeatedly in standby mode can deactivate the alarm timer. Also, ensure the sleep timer is not causing the unit to switch modes or beep at that time.
