For your safety, read all warnings and instruction listed in manual JL-40 (JL) OR JL2-05 (JL2).

Ensure the unit is unplugged before servicing.

Required Parts:

• 711-4207 "SERVICE KIT, RUNG ASSEMBLY, JL & JL2"

Required Tools:

• #2 Phillips Screwdriver

• Needle Nose Pliers

• Ratchet Strap

• 1/2" Open-Ended Wrench

• 13mm Open-Ended Wrench

1. Use a #2 phillips screwdriver

to remove the ten (10) screws

securing the upper rear shroud

to the frame, then remove the

shroud.

Page 2 2. Remove the four (4) screws securing the right side cover to the frame, then remove the cover. Repeat for the left side cover. Fig. 2 3. Use 1/2” open-ended wrench to remove the three (3) flange nuts and washers securing the right handrail to the frame, then remove the handrail.
Page 3 4. Use a 13mm open-ended wrench to remove the three (3) nuts, bolts, and washers securing the right rail cover to the unit, then remove the cover. Repeat for the left rail cover. Fig. 4 RUNG TO BE REPLACED 5. Place a ratchet strap around the RATCHET rungs with the rung that needs to be replaced in the middle.
