2005-2023 Roush Mustang Trunk Mounted Tool Kit Installation FOR 2005-2009 Model Years 1. Open the vehicle trunk and remove the two wire harness retaining clips on the passenger side of the decklid pull the harness down so that it can fit into the recessed portion of the inner structure. (Refer to Figure A) Hint: Masking tape can be used to hold the harness in place. - Page 7 3. Open and remove the ROUSH Mechanics gloves from the ROUSH Tool box (PN: 1314-TOOLKIT). Raise the ROUSH Tool box to the adapter brackets and fasten it to the brackets using the screws and washers supplied in the Hardware Kit. (Refer to Figure C) Note: ROUSH recommends applying a small amount of thread-lock to the thumb-nut if the customer doesn’t plan on removing the toolkit...

2005-2023 Roush Mustang Trunk Mounted Tool Kit Installation FOR 2010-2014 Model Years 1 . 1 . Open the trunk and remove thirteen (13) push pins indicated with circles as shown. The push pins are a two (2) part push pin. Remove the center button first to release the barbs and then remove the push pin body. - Page 9 Reference the chart below for the correct mounting brackets. 4. Locate the Roush toolbox (PN: 1314-TOOLKIT), and mounting hardware Included in the toolbox (two (2) brackets with nuts, two (2) washers, and two (2) bolts).
- Page 10 2005-2023 Roush Mustang Trunk Mounted Tool Kit 5. Locate the two (2) plastic adapter brackets from the toolbox hardware kit. Use the correct orientation of the two plastic adapter brackets as shown below to place into the trunk bracket slots as shown. Ensure that the threaded nut is on the back side of each plastic adapter bracket as shown.
- Page 11 2005-2023 Roush Mustang Trunk Mounted Tool Kit 6. Using a measuring tape to measure the distance apart between the two (2) threaded nuts on the brackets. The two threaded nuts should be 17 1/8th inches apart, IF NOT, YOU MUST RE-ADJUST THE BRACKETS BEFORE THE NEXT STEP.
- Page 12 2005-2023 Roush Mustang Trunk Mounted Tool Kit 8. Torque ALL six (6) Screws (PN: R07030003-13) on the left and right side mounting brackets to 22 In-Lb. 9. For vehicles equipped with a satellite antenna: pass the wire harness end of the satellite antenna connector behind the right mounting (RH) bracket and reconnect the connectors from step 2.
- Page 13 12. Open the ROUSH toolbox (PN: 1314-TOOLKIT) and remove the ROUSH mechanics gloves. With an assistant, raise the opened ROUSH Tool Box to align the slots in the Tool Box Lid to the nuts in the plastic Adapter Brackets. Install the two (2) Washers and two (2) Bolts included in the toolbox mounting hardware to fasten the Tool Box Lid to the Plastic Adapter Brackets.

2005-2023 Roush Mustang Trunk Mounted Tool Kit Installation FOR 2015-2023 Model Years 1. Open the vehicle trunk and remove the carpeting on the underside of the trunk lid by removing the push pins (circled), unscrewing the rubber bumpers (left and right arrows), and feeding the latch/release through the holes in the carpet (center arrow). - Page 16 2005-2023 Roush Mustang Trunk Mounted Tool Kit 3. Cut out either the fastback or convertible TRUNK MOUNTING BRACKETS TEMPLATE located in the back of this manual (Pages 22-23). With the carpet removed, position the template on the bottom of the trunk lid. Place the bracket on top of the template to confirm the horizontal distance between the two bottom screw locations is correct.

Drill pilot holes at the center-punched locations using 3/32" drill bit, then take one of the eight (8) self-tapping screws (R07030003-13) and use it to drill out the punched marks from the last step.
- Page 18 2005-2023 Roush Mustang Trunk Mounted Tool Kit 6. Completed bracket installation as shown below. 7. Cut out and lay the provided fastback or convertible TOOLKIT CARPET TEMPLATE found at the back of this instruction manual (Pages 24-25) on the underside (visible side) of the carpet.
- Page 19 Note: the two trunk bracket studs on the brackets are 17 1/8th inches apart. Install nylon washers onto studs 9. Locate the Roush toolbox (PN: 1314-TOOLKIT), and mounting hardware Included in the toolbox (two (2) brackets with nuts, two (2) washers, and two (2) bolts).
- Page 20 (PN: NM6X100X1S). Firmly tighten the thumb-nut with hands (If needed, use a plier tool as shown) Note: ROUSH recommends applying a small amount of thread-lock to the thumb-nut if the customer doesn’t plan on removing the toolkit from the vehicle often.
