Vibration (ah)
Levels of noise and vibration were determined according to the standards and regulations in the declaration of conformity. The specified total vibration value and the stated noise emission value have been measured according to a standardised test method and can be used to compare one power tool with another. The specified total vibration value and the stated specified noise emission value can also be used for a provisional assessment of the load.
The vibration and noise emissions may deviate from the specified values during actual use of the power tool, depending on how the power tool is being used. Try to keep the exposure to vibrations as low as possible. An example of a measure to reduce vibration exposure is limiting the working hours. All parts of the operating cycle have to be considered while doing so (for example, times when the power tool is switched off and times when it is switched on but running without any load).
Charging time
The device is part of the X 20 V TEAM series and can be operated with batteries of the X 20 V TEAM series. Batteries of the X 20 V TEAM series may only be charged using chargers of the X 20 V TEAM series.
We recommend that you operate this appliance with the following batteries only: PAP 20 B1, PAP 20 B3, Smart PAPS 204 A1, Smart PAPS 208 A1
We recommend charging these batteries with the following chargers: PLG 20 A3, PLG 20 A4, PLG 20 C1, PLG 20 C2, PLG 20 C3, PLG 201 A1, PDSLG 20 A1, PDSLG 20 B1, Smart PLGS 2012 A1 Rechargeable battery and charger technical data: See separate manual. The charging time is influenced by factors such as the temperature of the environment and the battery, as well as the mains voltage applied, and may therefore deviate from the specified values.

Residual risks
There will always be residual risks even if you operate this power tool according to the instructions. The following hazards may occur in connection with the type and design of this power tool:
Danger due to electromagnetic field generated while the tool is in operation. Under certain circumstances, this field may negatively affect active or passive medical implants. In order to reduce the danger of serious or fatal injuries, we recommend that individuals who wear medical implants should consult their doctor and the manufacturer of the implant before operating the machine.
Risk of injury due to unintentional start-up. Only insert the rechargeable battery into the device once the device is fully prepared for use.
Control elements
Familiarise yourself with the operating elements before using the device for the first time.
Risk of injury due to unintentional start-up. Do not insert the rechargeable battery into the device until the device is fully prepared for use.

Tools required
Procedure
Attaching the auxiliary handle
Adjusting the auxiliary handle
You can move the auxiliary handle (23) to different positions. Adjust the auxiliary handle so that the spool cap (20) is tilted slightly forward as you work (see Cutting grass).
Procedure (Fig. C.1)
Adjusting the height on the telescopic tube
The telescopic tube (13) allows you to adjust the device to your individual height.
Procedure (Fig. C.2)
Adjusting the position of the motor head
Risk of injury! The protective cover must not face away from the user. Leave the position of the motor head (16) in the 0° position when using the device as a lawn trimmer in cutting angle positions 1 - 4.
The position of the motor head (16) can be rotated 180°. Procedure (Fig. C.3)
Adjusting the cutting angle
Changing the cutting angle also allows you to trim in inaccessible places, e.g. under benches and ledges.
Procedure (Fig. C.4)
Position | Angle of tilt |
1 | 15° |
2 | 30° |
3 | 45° |
4 | 60° |
5 | 75° |

Function as a lawn trimmer with trimmer cart
Function as a lawn edge trimmer
Adjusting the spacer
The spacer (flower protection) (21) keeps plants and stems that are not to be cut away from the cutting unit.
Procedure (Fig. C.5)
Extending the cutting line
The device is equipped with a fully automatic line tracker . The line extends automatically every time the device is switched on. For proper functioning of the automatic line extension mechanism, the spool (18) must have stopped completely before you restart the device. If the lines are initially longer than the cutting circle, they are automatically shortened to the right length by the line cutter (32).
Working with the trimmer cart
The lawn trimmer can be used like a city lawn mower with 2-stage axial cutting height adjustment by engaging it in the trimmer cart (25).
