  • Page 5 Battery Maintenance and Safety Review the following instructions and guidelines carefully to ensure safe battery use and maintenance. • Charge your battery in a temperature-controlled, dry, safe location ideally at room temperature, 10°C to 25°C (50°F to 77°F). • Always charge between 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F), as charging outside of this range may damage the battery.
  • Page 6 • Avoid subjecting the battery to high temperatures, such as directly under the sun, for prolonged periods of time. • Recharge the battery before it becomes completely discharged. Completely discharging will reduce the number of recharging cycles during the battery's life and limit its capacity.

  • Page 14 Unpack the Bike Remove the outside carton after cutting the nylon bands. Remove all the inside cardboard protection and bubble wrap. Carefully remove the bike from the carton. Ensure the following pieces are included in the package: Electric bike. Front wheel. Little carton (for user guide, tools, pedals (left and right), bell, rear reflector etc.) Charger.
  • Page 15 Install the Front Wheel Note: Charge the battery before assembling the bike. It will take approximately 4-6 hours to fully charge. Warning Do not touch the brake rotor, which has sharp edges and can cause serious injury. Touching the brake rotor or brake pads with bare skin can also transfer natural oils to either component, which can decrease braking performance.
  • Page 16 Hold the quick-release lever in line with the axle and tighten the thumb nut until the lever can stay parallel to the floor without being held. Use the palm of your hand to close the lever fully, without touching the brake rotor. The quick-release lever secures the front wheel to the bike, so it’s important that the thumb nut is tight enough to ensure the closed lever has adequate clamping force to keep the axle and wheel firmly in place.
  • Page 17 Install the Handlebar Rotate the stem until the top cap bolt can be reached with the 5mm Allen key. Check and align the stem with the front wheel. Orient the handlebar so the brake levers face forwards and the shifter is on the rider’s right side.
  • Page 18 Install the Pedals Attach the pedals using a multi-function wrench. The pedals are marked ‘L’ for Left and ‘R’ for Right. The left pedal is attached by turning it counterclockwise, and the right pedal is tightened by turning it clockwise. Make sure the pedals are tightened to the crank arms to prevent stripping (see picture below).
  • Page 19 Install the Rear Reflector and Seat Post Put the seat post-mounted rear reflector in the correct position by loosening the screws of the rear reflector bracket. Ensure the rear reflector is vertical and points straight toward the rear of the bike. There should be at least 7.6cm of clearance between the top of the seat and the top of the red rear reflector.

OPERATION How the Electrical System Works Your bike is equipped with a Pedal Assist System (PAS) and a motor to propel the bike forward. How the Pedal Assist System Works Pedal assist uses a cadence sensor built into the drive train of the bike. The cadence sensor detects when the rider revolves the pedals and signals the electric motor to provide the level of pedal assistance (0-5) that the rider has selected.

  • Page 31: Cleaning & Care

CLEANING & CARE Service This bike needs to be checked and serviced by a qualified bike mechanic after every 161km of riding. This is standard best practice for any new bike, as cables will stretch, and components will ‘bed in’. The service must include spoke tensioning for both front and rear wheels.
