• Press e again after playback ends to display the menu.
PLAYBACK
FRAME BY FRAME : Plays back the movie manually one frame at a

Press ac to select the desired operation, then press e.
When FRAME BY FRAME is selected
a : Displays the first frame of the movie.
c : Displays the last frame of the movie.
d
: Displays the next frame. The movie can be played continuously by
holding the button down.

: Displays the previous frame. The movie can be played continuously in
reverse by holding the button down.
e : Displays the MOVIE PLAYBACK menu.

PROTECTING PICTURES

You are recommended to protect important pictures to avoid accidentally
erasing them.

Set the mode dial to q and turn the camera on.
• The monitor turns on.

Use the arrow pad or control dial to display the picture
you want to protect.

Press 0.
• To cancel protection, press 0 again.
• Protected pictures cannot be erased by the single-frame/all-frame
erase function, but they are all erased by formatting.

ERASING PICTURES

This function enables you to erase recorded pictures. This can be done either
one frame at a time or to all the pictures on the card at once.
• Once erased, pictures cannot be restored. Check each picture
before erasing to avoid accidentally erasing pictures you want to
